Call of the Void
Call of the Void was a project I developed together with my university group. It explores the psychological phenomenon known as “Call of the Void”—the sudden, irrational impulse to put oneself in danger without any real intention of doing so.
A classic example is the fleeting thought of jumping off a cliff, even though there is no actual desire to act on it.
Our task was to create a video that visually and emotionally captured this ambivalent feeling. To meet my aesthetic standards, I collaborated with designer Elisa Payer, who has worked with brands such as Moncler and Adidas, and asked her to provide us with an outfit from her collaboration with [insert name].
This piece became a key element in shaping the film’s unique atmosphere and was further elevated by the collaboration of a talented team: videographers Markus Krampl and Christoph Wanderer, as well as art directors Marlene Bonstingl, Hannah Milchrahm and Vanessa Gruber.
My personal role focused on art direction and serving as the director of photography.
